Biography

Picking up an art brush for the first time approximately 18 months ago to ward off all those white walls in the artist's apartment, Samantha Weissrock created her piece Winter's Solace...and thought it a fluke.  A month or so later, and upon the encouragement of many friends, she painted her second piece, Lady in a Red Field (not shown) and has been painting ever since.

Weissrock has completed several commissioned pieces and has displayed her work in various art shows around Louisville.  She is also a founding member and coordinator of MuseFest Louisville; which is an annual fund-raising event for the Kentucky Theater Project held in March to showcase the talents of local female artisans in the areas of Music, Visual Art and Literature.

All work is created in acrylic medium and on canvas board unless otherwised commissioned.
