Rock legend Roger Daltry will stop at  Horseshoe Casino Hotel Southern Indiana Oct. 31 as part of his 2009 Use It or Lose It tour. This concert will be a rare opportunity to hear that iconic voice in person.

Singer-songwriter Daltry, founder and lead singer for English rock band The Who, kicks off his solo tour on Oct. 10 in Vancouver. It's Daltry's first solo tour since 1985. Daltry will be joined onstage by his longtime collaborator Simon Townshend, a guitarist, backup singer and brother of Daltry's bandmate, Pete Townshend. The concert will include both solo material and songs from Daltry's Who days.

Daltry formed The Who in 1964. The Who was known for its energetic shows that culminated in the wanton destruction of their instruments. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.

Daltry began solo projects while still with The Who, but his solo work really intensified after the death of charismatic drummer Keith Moon in 1978. The Who has toured but sporadically since 1982. Daltry's last album, 2005's Moonlighting: The Anthology,  is a compilation album that includes "Free Me," "(Come and) Get Your Love," Without Your Love," "After the Fire," "Under a Raging Moon" and a previously unreleased track, "A Second Out," written with Steve McEwan of the band UnAmerican.

In addition to his work in music, Daltry is well known as an actor. He performed in high-profiled productions of The Beggar's Opera and The Comedy of Errors for BBC television, as well as in the 1975 film of the rock opera Tommy, Daltry was knighted on Dec. 31, 2004.

Tickets are priced at $45, $55 and $75. You can see a map of the Showroom here. Call (800) 745-3000 for reservations or buy tickets online;  there's a limit of six tickets per household.
