J. Graham's: home of the legendary Hot Brown
Tucked into a corner of Louisville's historic Brown Hotel, J. Graham's offers guests casual dining for breakfast or lunch. And it's a chance to order a legendary Hot Brown in the very hotel where the Louisville specialty was invented.
Unlike its sister restaurant, the English Grill, J. Graham's provides more of a bistro dining experience. At lunch, the eatery offers two different types of buffets plus bistro-style dishes, such the club sandwich ($10), the Niçoise Salad ($11) and a Calamari Po' Boy accomanied by a black bean salad ($14).
Or, for lunch, enjoy the Brown Hotel's signature sandwich, the Hot Brown ($14): sliced turkey on toast points laced with bacon, a cheese mornay sauce, Parmesan cheese and tomato, all broiled into a warm, cheesy delight. The Hot Brown was invented in the Brown Hotel's kitchen in 1926.
On Tuesdays, the Hot Brown is included on J. Graham's full buffet ($17). The Brown Hotel makes the recipe for a Hot Brown available here. You can also get the original Hot Brown upstairs at J. Graham's sister restaurant, the English Grill, a AAA Four-Diamond fine-dining restaurant.
For breakfast, J. Graham's offers two types of buffets and several egg, waffle, pancake, omelet and other a la carte options.
J. Graham's has free wi-fi. An 18% service charge is added to parties of eight or more.
