     Finding a singer who embodied all of their desired qualities was yet another obstacle. After going through several singers, they finally found Matt. He brought the perfect mixture of talent, energy, and passion, to the band that they all shared. They've been making amazing music non-stop ever since and are all very excited for what the future holds for them. They've already come a long way and are very dedicated to their music. They always enjoy it, even when it is challenging or frustrating. Their main goal for making music is to have fun and above all, relate to people.

     The name Subliminal Cruelty was coined by their very own drummer, Chris. However, they are constantly asked about what the name means. To them, they write songs that contain messages. Whether direct or not, these messages permeate their music, forcing their audience to listen closely to the words and find those hidden messages, which sometimes aren't so obvious. These messages are all things that either one, some, or all of the members can relate to and that they feel are important to share with their listeners.

     'Cruelty' is the word used to describe the overall tone of their music, which is usually very hard and vicious. Together, Subliminal Cruelty is the brutal truth about life and all that it hands you. The most important thing to learn is to stay strong and true to yourself. The most important thing to control is your mind, hence Subliminal Cruelty. The name reflects who they are, what they believe, and what they want others to be aware of. Sometimes your mind is your worst enemy and learning how to control it can save your life, as many of the members have learned the hard way.

     Aside from all the internal meanings of the music, they just want people to have fun when they listen to their music and relate to them, or in some cases, learn from them. Music has been an incredibly important part of each and every one of their lives and they want to be a part of spreading that around the world. If you ask any of their listeners, their music is unlike anything youve heard before and is nearly impossible to describe in any limited amount of words. With such diverse influences as Metallica, Shinedown, Papa Roach, Green Day, Coheed and Cambria , Pantera, etc., they possess a very interesting sound. While the music is very hard, the vocals use an alternative lyrical and vocal approach to singing with a combination of punk rock melodies, instead of the guttural screams that define mainstream hard rock and metal music. Together, their music successfully manages to grab your ear quickly with catchy rhythms, intricate melodies and harmonies, insane Metallica-like guitar solos, and moshable breakdowns that you just can't stand still to.

     Their aim is to please their audience and with their unique style of music, they do a great job. They understand that they can't please everyone and they definitely respect differences of opinions. Basically, they just do what they love to do and have fun doing and just hope that everyone else enjoys it as much as they do.
