Artist Bio
Derby City Artist represents artist Chad Gray of Louisville Ky. Chad enjoys a variety of art styles and subjects but with his own work he primarly focuses on the impressionistic and classic styles. Focusing on figurative & Society, carnivals & festivals, and Contemporary subject content.
Chad was born and raised in Louisville where he began and is still currently working on his art career.
His earliest achievment in art came his 4th grade year, when he was honored of having a oil pastel on paper titled 3 cubs which featured 3 tiger cubs in a field of grass displayed at the Gheens Art Academy where it still remains today.
His first professional painting was done when he was 12 yrs old, a small cabin sitting at the edge of a river, which was destroyed in 2003 when it was caught in a house fire.
Chads heaviest influences besides his teachers are some very well reknowned artist themselves such as Leonardo DaVinci, Michelangelo, Vincent Vangogh, Janine Wesselmann, Felix Mas, Liudmila Kondakova, as well as a list of others.
