  • Anchorage Press PLAYS serves the specialty field of TYA: theatre or young audiences. We publish and sell play scripts and license the performance rights for plays to be presented, by skilled performers, before audiences of children, youth, teens, and young adults or a family audience. Anchorage also publishes and sells theatre books: anthologies of plays, books about make-up design, creative eduction and theatre text books for college. Play scripts and books may be ordered through our website catalogue: www.applays.com or through your local bookstore.

    YOUR CHOICE FOR TYA! Although not a storefront retail business, anyone can order our plays and books directly from our website catalogue or by phone. We have customers from around the world. Founded in 1935, Anchorage Press was formerly located in Anchorage, Kentucky (a suburb of Louisville) until 1977 when it moved to New Orleans. In July of 2000, the company was brought back to Louisville.
