Enjoy a dog-gone good time at the Animal Care Society's sixth annual Bark in the Park on Sept. 19. Spend a day of music, dancing, performing pups, a canine talent show, food and more fun for the whole family — including your pet!
The Flying Houndz of Louisville will delight audiences with their high-flying Frisbee tricks. Think your pooch has what it takes to win the Canine Idol talent competition? You'll never know if you've got the canine Kelly Clarkson unless you enter your dog. Or you can enter Fluffy in the canine costume contest. And you won't want to miss the '60s sounds of Donny Dynamite & the Dynamos. Dance or just groove to that retro rock and roll!
The fund-raiser benefits the Animal Care Society, the Louisville area's only no-kill animal shelter for dogs and cats.
A $25 donation lets you take part in a two-mile walk, and cartoonist Jim Parker will be penning canine caricatures. There will also be crafts for kids, dog-themed booths and demonstrations, food and much more to make the day a Rover-all success.
Seneca Park's main entrance is located at Pee Wee Reese Road and Cannons Lane. Established in 1984, the Animal Care Society is located at 12207 Westport Road. Bark in the Park is the shelter's main annual fund-raiser.
