Death Cab for Cutie hits Louisville April 10

Grammy Award-nominated indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie will play the Louisville Palace Theatre April 10.

Death Cab for Cutie is touring with Cold War Kids and Ra Ra Riot.

The Bellingham, Wash., band's latest album is 2008's Narrow Stairs, which was their first album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart and which was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. The Open Door, an EP of songs that didn't make it onto Narrow Stairs, hits stores April 14.

The band's ecletic name comes from a song in the Beatles' 1967 movie Magical Mystery Tour  — released years before any of the band's members were even born.

The Louisville Palace's website offers ticket buyers a chance to see the view from their seat before they buy. You can buy tickets online, by calling (877) 598-8698 or by visiting the Louisville Box Office from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and two hours before any scheduled event.
