Donnie Baker and the Pork Pistols split sides at French Lick

For years, Ron Sexton's Donnie Baker character has been calling in to the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Show to relate preposterous but side-splitting stories that allegedly befell some friend. Donnie Baker — sporting a mullet and his trash-talking attitude — is bringing his comedy routine on tour to French Lick Resort in Southern Indiana on Sept. 4.

Accompanying Donnie Baker will be the Pork Pistols, a garage — ahem, carport band.

The party- and sex-obsessed Baker peppers his comedy with his catch phrases of "They have to — it's a state law," "I swear to God it's true!" and cries of "Shut up, Randy!" at Baker's long-suffering employer. Performed by actor Ron Sexton, the Baker character has appeared on several comedy albums, including The Donnie Baker Collection: Boat for Sale (2005), Shut Up Randy! (2006), State Law (2007) and the triple-disc CD, My Job Sucks (2008).

The French Lick Resort is just a little more than an hour from downtown Louisville. Tickets are priced at $35, $25, $20 and $15. You can buy tickets online or by calling (877) 840–0457. For a seating map of the venue, click here and scroll to the bottom of the page.
