Dracula, the dramatized version of terrifying and ground-breaking Bram Stoker's vampire novel, will return for a 14th season at Actors Theatre of Louisville, from Sept. 18 through — appropriately enough — Oct. 31, Halloween.
Actors Theatre's completely redesigned retelling of Dracula features new sets, costumes, lighting and sound — but plenty of the same Gothic thrills and chills that have made the tale of an age-old vampire a favorite for more than a century! Dracula isn't for the faint of heart and is recommended for audiences 11 and older. The performances will be in the intimate Bingham Theatre at Actors Theatre.
Returning cast members include Randolph Curtis Rand as Count Dracula, William McNulty as Professor Abraham Van Helsing, David Ian Lee as Jonathan Harker, Marc Bovino as Renfield, Kim Stauffer as Lucy Westenra and Jeffrey Withers as Dr. John Seward. The play was originally dramatized by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston. For the 13th year, William McNulty will direct the play.
The performances are Sunday, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. The Bingham Theatre is dark on Monday.
