Fillies Networking Lunch and Fashion Show April 8
Women in and around Louisville, Kentucky, that are interested in checking out Derby fashions while networking with other local businesswomen will have that chance at the fourth annual Fillies Networking Luncheon and Fashion Show. The Fillies Networking Luncheon and Fashion Show is on Friday, April 8, 2011, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in The Bliss Ballroom at The Calumet Club in New Albany, Indiana.
This year's special guests are the hosts of "View from the Ville," Adrianna Hopkins, Julie Smith, Jessica Taylor and Sherlene Shanklin. "View From the Ville" is a local entertainment and talk show shown Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. on WKYI-TV.
The fashion show will feature clothing from area stores, including Petunia’s Boutique, Strandz and Threadz, Rodeo Drive, The Willow Tree, Peacock’s Boutique, and Cato’s. The Derby hats in the show will be from Rebecca’s Hats.
This year proceeds from the Fillies Networking Luncheon and Fashion Show will go to two local charities: Meghan’s Mountain and Especially for Women Boutique. Meghan’s Mountain Charitable Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit charitable foundation dedicated to the eradication of cancer. Its mission is to generate awareness and resources for cancer sufferers and survivors.
Especially for Women Boutique is a boutique that provides services to uninsured, or underinsured, women undergoing breast cancer treatment. The boutique provides wigs, prostheses, turbans, knitted hats and under garments free of charge to women in the Kentuckiana area.
Tickets for the Fillies Networking Luncheon and Fashion Show are $30 per person or $200 for a table of eight. Those who purchase a table can decorate it to showcase their business and also can include a promotional gift in the event's guest bags.
