Get into the holiday season this year by Christmas shopping at Louisville’s newest mall, The Summit. This beautiful open-air outdoor mall can be easier to navigate than the indoor versions, especially for shoppers loaded down with boxes and bags. Just zip over to the car, drop them off and get right back in the game!
The Summit has more A-list stores than any other mall in Kentucky, so it’s easy to get a huge chunk of the holiday shopping done in one trip. Shopping for teens? There’s an Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, J. Crew and Old Navy. (They would also love a Summit gift card, which is like getting their own credit card.)
For mom, there is Anne Taylor, Talbots, Victoria’s Secret, Chico’s and White House Black Market. Presents for Dad are easy at the GAP, Sunglass Hut, Quest Outdoors, DSW Shoes and Barnes & Nobel. Find the ideal present for the kids at the Children’s Place, Gymboree, Justice, Rabbit in the Moon, or grab a gift card to Build-A-Bear Workshop.
The Summit will host several special events this holiday season for shoppers and kids alike. On Black Friday, that infamous shop-till-you-drop day after Thanksgiving, arrive by 8 a.m. for a chance to win a gift card from $10 to $500 and a $1,000 shopping spree. Santa Claus will arrive in his sleigh in the lot next to Office Depot to give kids free rides and a photo on Nov. 20-21, 26-28 and Dec. 4-5, 11-12 and 17-19 from noon to 5 p.m.
Martini’s Italian Bistro will also offer breakfast with Santa on Dec. 4 and 11 at 9 a.m. with crafts, photos and other activities. Advanced reservations are required by calling 394-9797.
HelloLouisville Tip: Check the Summit website for special holiday hours, which are extended as late as 10 p.m. on some nights leading up to Christmas.
