Sharp-tongued comedian Kathy Griffin, star of the Bravo reality show My Life on the D-List, brings her stand-up act to Horseshoe Casino Hotel Southern Indiana on Sept. 11. The casino is just 25 minutes from downtown Louisville.
Griffin won two Emmy Awards for her work on My Life on the D-List, which is beginning its sixth season. Before that, Griffin acted for four years on the NBC sitcom Suddenly Susan, where she played Brooke Shields’ witty and edgy colleague. In her stand-up routine, Griffin recounts encounters she has had with various celebrities and sends up the celebrity-obsessed popular culture and the antics of Hollywood’s glitterati. Her reality show debuted in 2005 to rave reviews.
Griffin’s humor is caustic, profane and not for the faint of heart. The sense of humor is outrageous enough that Griffin has been banned from several television show. She will perform two shows, at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Tickets are priced at $35, $55 and $85. There’s limit of eight tickets per household. You can see a map of the Showroom here. Call (800) 745–3000 for reservations or buy tickets online; you must be 21 or older to attend.
