Las Vegas alternative-rock band The Killers will stop at Horseshoe Casino Hotel Southern Indiana on Aug. 8 as part of their current tour. Ra Ra Riot will open for The Killers.
Day & Night, The Killers' latest studio album, was released last November on Island Records. The album has sold nearly 500,000 copies in the United States. The Killers hit the mainstream with 2004's Hot Fuss, which has been certified platinum four times over. The band draws its influences from the New New Wave and post-punk music styles of the 1980s.
Indie-rock band Ra Ra Riot, the opening act, will be fresh off a tour with Death Cab for Cutie and Cold War Kids, which ends July 31. They have previously toured with Vampire Weekend and Los Campesinos. Ra Ra Riot's debut album, The Rhumb Line, was released in August 2008 in the United States and Canada.
