LIBA Holiday Passport Contest: Shop Local, Win Big
This holiday season, the Louisville Independent Business Alliance is giving you the chance to win a gift for yourself by patronizing locally owned businesses. By turning in five receipts from LIBA member businesses, you will be entered to win $1,000 in gift certificates from the LIBA businesses of your choosing.
Here's how it works: Between now and Jan. 5, 2011, collect receipts from LIBA member businesses. A comprehensive list of participating businesses and an entry form can be found online, or a LIBA Holiday Passport guidebook can be picked up at any member business. Once you've collected five qualifying receipts, fill out an entry form and drop it off at any Bowles Mattress or Highland Cleaners location to be entered into the contest.
The winner will be drawn live during WAVE 3's 725 S. Floyd talk show at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 7. The grand prize is $1,000 in gift certificates from LIBA member businesses, but drawings will also be held for secondary prizes from Actors Theatre of Louisville, Dundee Candy Shop, Edenside Gallery, and others.
There is no limit to the number of times you can enter the contest, but each entry must be accompanied by receipts from five different businesses. Once your receipts have been verified, they will be returned to you.
HelloLouisville Tip: If you visit a business and you're not interested in buying anything, don't fret; ask nicely and you can get a voucher that can be used for the contest just for stopping by.
