Louisville Zoo plans Hare-raising birthday tea party

Don't be late … for a very important date at the Louisville Zoo.

In honor of the zoo's 40th birthday, it's planning a Wonderland Birthday Tea Party March 14-15 with games, music,  crafts and visits from Alice, the White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts and some special Zoo animals.

Of course, there will also be birthday cake, tea, juice and McDonald Land cookies.

Tickets are available online. For zoo members, tickets are $7 for ages 3 and older and $4 for infants age 2 and under. For non-zoo members, tickets are $4 for infants age 2 and under, $13 for ages 3-12 and $14 for ages 13 and older. Zoo admission is included in the price.

Birthday Tea times are 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.

This event is made possible by support by Coca-Cola and McDonald's.
