
Looking to keep the party rolling now that the Kentucky Derby events have ended? Louisville's got another fine week of incredible live music May 10-15. Check out some of the musical acts that will be hitting Louisville stages over the next week:
Tuesday, May 10
91.9 WFPK presents indie-rock and folk artist Bob Schneider and guest Brigid Kaelin at 8 p.m. at the Phoenix Hill Tavern. Tickets are $15 in advance, and $17 the day of the show. This is a 21 and over show.
Wednesday, May 11
Vapor Records artist Jonathan Richman and support act Tommy Larkin will be taking the stage at Zanzabar on both Wednesday, May 11, and Thursday, May 12. Tickets are $12 each night, and the doors open at 8 p.m.
Thursday, May 12
91.9 WFPK presents Robert Randolph and the Family Band with The Tunesmiths at Headliner's Music Hall. Tickets are $20 and the show begins at 9 p.m.
Saturday, May 14
91.9 WFPK presents Happy Hour at Louisville Slugger Field with the Kirk Kiefer Syndrome at 5 p.m., before the Louisville Bats take on the Buffalo Bisons at 6:05 p.m.
Junip (featuring Elias Araya, Jose Gonzalez and Tobias Winterkorn) with special guests Acrylics will perform at Headliner's Music Hall. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 the day of the show. Tnd the music, presented by 91.9 WFPK, begins at 9 p.m.
Sunday, May 15
The Second Annual Klezmerfest will be held at at Iroquois Amphitheatre with Margot Leverett & The Klezmer Mountain Boys, Java Jews, Lost Tribe, The River City Klezmer Project and more. Dance instrumental tunes known as Klezmer music were first played at weddings and other happy occasions by Jewish musicians in 19th century Eastern Europe. The fest starts at 1 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 the day of the show, and $10 for students. Children 12 and under are free.
