Coco's Chocolate Cafe Louisville: A Chocolate Lover's Dream
Coco’s Chocolate Café in Louisville is the kind of place that chocolate lovers dream about. Ever yearned for the ultimate chocolate experience? Or ever wondered what it might be like to drink a chocolate bar? If so, then Coco’s Chocolate Café in the Highlands should be on your list for a sweet bite out.
Coco’s specializes in chocolate delights, From small, inventive bars, to desserts, to ice cream, to fondues, this cafe does it all if it involves chocolate. A look at the menu reveals such tantalizing treats as “Chocolate Fire,” infused with habanero peppers and green chilies, and “Tropical Breeze,” infused with lemongrass and coconut milk.
Perhaps the most unique item on the menu, however, might be the “Drinking Chocolate.” Coco’s drinking chocolate is a dark chocolate concoction served warm in an espresso cup and tastes something like an excellent bar of chocolate. The “drink” is based on a secret recipe brought all the way from Barcelona, Spain. You may want to say “yes” when the staff asks if you would like yours served with cayenne pepper, just as a true chocolate connoisseur would.
Prices range from $1.75 upwards, starting with sweet morsels and ending with the fondues and large “boxes to go”. For those who cannot get enough in the café, Coco’s also caters special events and rents chocolate fountains as well.
HelloLouisville Tip: Coco’s is open daily, except for Mondays, but the café is rather small, so if you want to get a seat, come on a weekday when it is less crowded.
