Barret Traditional Middle School Reviews

I went to Barret for eighth grade. I am currently a freshman now. Barret is not a good school for anyone that has trouble learning. All the teachers had 'favorites' and most of them didnt care to help the students that needed it. Two of the teachers I had were very nice to my parents and told them that they were going to help me, but in the classroom they didnt do anything but put me down and they were very mean when I just asked them a question that I didnt understand on the assignment. Alot of them dont care if they embarrass you in front of the class when you do something wrong. Socially, the kids are great here and if you are a good student you will love it, but if you struggle in school even a little bit I do not suggest Barret.

I am a proud student of barret tms. I am currently in the 7th grade and everything about this school is amazing. There are very few fights and %98 of the people i know love this school. Strict, but not too badly. Uniforms are required. We have many school activities, sports, and clubs to join! if your child is planning on going to this school, make sure that they are prepared mentally and are ready for hard working!

I been going to Barret for a year now and love it there. Sure some of the teachers are mean. But you get a great education.

This is my first year of middle school , and I am at Barret. Some students get on here and say how terrible barret is, they lie, well I just wanted to to say how GREAT Barret is. The caferteria looks like a beautiful cafe, with great food. The teachers are very strict, but they teach you a lot. The students are very well behaved, and are liked by many teachers, Go Barret!

This school has a lot of fights and is not a good learning environment for any child. My child absolutly hated going to barret and transfered to a much better school. The school i would recommend is jctms.

Barret is a great place to send your child. Its a little tough to get into, and there is always the threat of being removed if behavior or grades aren't up to standards, but my son really has gotten a lot out of his years there. I am looking forward to sending my other two children there too. There are many ways for parents to be involved, and there is always some small way to help out.

Barret is a great school and i love it. Sure there are some teachers who the students aren't very fond of but it's going to be the same at any other school. No one can complain about the wonderful school barret!

Barret is a bad school at which the teachers do not care for any of the student and are extremly rude!! no child should have to be held under such surcomestances! Barrets teachers should score a -10!!!! i do not recomnd this school!

Barret TMS is way 2 strict they make u follow the rules. And even if u hav gum and get cuat they take it to far. And Give u a Referal and detention. There way 2 strict. Youll get a referoll 4 having ur sahirt untucked and it could be an accident and u get a referal with out verby warning. Its not fair. Barrets not wat it seems.

If you plan to go to Barret then make sure you're prepared. The teachers are strict and disipline to them is a must. even so this is a great school to go to. It is very clean and modern ther are 2 computer labs and at least 2 computers in each room. Be prepared for a lot of work.

I'm a current Barret TMS student, and I have been attending the school for 2 yrs now. I'm presently in the 8th grade. Barret is an intricately structured school, and the teachers don't hesitate to discipline mis-behaving students. If your child wishes to attend this school, make sure he or she is prepared for a heavy workload!

I spent 3 years of my life attending Barret, and when I graduated I was sad to say goodbye to a few of my wonderful teachers, but there was a lot of controversy in the last few years, including restrictions on purses and jewlery.

When people look at our school they say were a bunch of well behaved and smart childen which is sometimes true .At Barret they are strict on the wrong things. In our school some of the teachers really care but on the other hand some teachers dont put enough effort in teaching the students that really need help.So just make sure your child is really prepared for Barret

You have to know what you're getting into when you choose Barret. It's a very competitive school so there's not a lot of room for the nurture and sincere concern for the student that is struggling academically. The administration would rather you remove the student than to work with them. Greathouse Shryock Elem. feeds into Barret so I suggest any parent considering the traditional program read those reviews also. They have strong test scores and ratings because they don't tolerate any student that may jeopardize that. Carefully consider all your choices for middle schools. If your child is an expressive, outgoing individual who likes to march to their own beat do not choose Barret. You will save yourself a lot of frustration. I regret my choice because my son loved school until now. It's a good fit for some, but not most.

Barret is awesome we are not too strict! We have a great student body, the best teachers, and the best scores in the state! What more could you ask for? I am a proud student of Barret.

I love Barret it is the best school I have ever been to.The teachers are nice the students, principal, councilers, even the lunch ladies are funny and nice!I give this school a 5! And for all of you that think it is to strict it is not!

I think Barret is not too strict. They have guidelines, and the kids know the rules. I appreciate the 'strictness' and the fact they are challenging my son. Teachers are caring, adminstration is top notch. Consistently this school has outstanding test scores. More middle schools schould be like this.

Too strict. You can even wear one bracelet on each arm.Out of 1 ten I give this school a 2.
