St. Patrick School Reviews

If you are looking for the traditional catholic parish where community is priority, don't go here. THe church does not function like a church, rather a business and acts very judgementally. The community is very organized and doesn't provide an open welcome to others within the community attempting to find the traditional catholic community. There are questionable ethics involved in the selection process and inconsistent admission procedures.

In our experience, the teaching at primary and esp. intermediate levels does not adequately serve the highest and lowest achieving students. Foreign language could be much better. The drama program is terrific and band is coming along well, however the academic extracurriculars can be hit or miss. Parent involvement and stewardship activities are superb. The school and parish are making excellent strides in the technology area. We would love to see more ethnic and economic diversity.

I have found this school to be academically rigorous, while supporting the development of the whole child. The school offers Spanish, Computer, & Art classes, Students needing academic support receive it through accommodations in the classroom, or by participation in the Reading Resource program. Stewardship is taught as a way of life throughout the curriculum.

I advise that anyone who's child has a lerning diffrence steer clear of this school. It is perfectly fine for other students. My daughter went here (she has ADHD) and they din't seem to accept the fact that the way she learned was diffrent. The school was not very good at providing her with what she needed.
