Butler Traditional High School Reviews

I graduated from Butler and loved my time there. I got a great education and received a number of scholarships towards college. Yes, they have some strict rules but if you can get over that and focus on the quality education - your student will be a better person because of it. I would recommend this school to aynone!

I love my school, its one of the best. Everything is good, so hope you love it too.

My kids love Butler. I am pleased with the education they have received. The teachers and staff seem to really care about the kids.

My daughter graduated from BTHS in 2007. She attended a Catholic grade school and the transition to Butler was seamless. I credit the staff at Butler with setting rules and expectations that are often not found in a public school. Butler has a very high level of parent participation which is uncommon in public schools. She was also very involved in sports. She has moved on to college and is very capable of handling college courses because of the academic preparation and study habits provided by Butler. She chose this school over the Catholic High Schools we visited and I feel it was a good fit for her. She was a NHS & BRTA Club member and thrived in all aspects of academic & sports environments.

I was a student at bths and graduated in 2005 from there, I find that most of the upper level staff makes bad choices in the rules they choose to enforce. They have very unfair rules when it comes to the male vs female rules. I also feel that it was a complete waste of my time to even attend this school. I have moved on to be a very sucessful at Computer/IT Job and will never look back. I sugguest you think about the amount of grants your child well receive if they go to a school with less competition that way they well be able to afford college.

Butler is a wonderful school! After my son's bad middle school experience, we were glad he was able to attend a high school with great leadership and discipline and challenging classes. I feel he will be well prepared for college!

Great school! My son is in his senior year and I am very pleased with his progrees!

My name is Brittany Ryan , I am a Senior at Butler, I have enjoyed my Four years there . Butler offers many opportunities for a student that wants to succeed. However, You do have to work hard , Thanks to the Education I received at Butler ,and My Goals to succeed, I'm a 2006 Governor Scholar. Hard work ,The Teachers ,and Mr.Stites made that possible for me, and I will be forever grateful . Butler also offers many excel, and honor courses, They offer College courses which gets you off to a great start . All the staff is there to support you .I made a great choice in getting a Butler Education .I will miss everyone, However, I am excited to move on .I want to thank everyone there, And Mrs. G~~ .your the GREATEST Thanks for Everything , I will miss you .. Class Of '2007'

My Daughter has attended Butler going on four years , She is now a Senior, Butler has helped her every step of the way, . If she needs help with anything they are there for her. Now that it is time for College preparation , her counselor has been a great help. As for academic programs, Butler offers a great variety of excel and advanced placement courses, My daughter is taking College courses which is offered at Butler , taught by U of L teachers. I feel she will be well prepared for College, She has terrific teachers also preparing her for College. They have strict policies and rules , which makes it a safe environment for kids. which is what more Schools need. The teachers, staff, and councilors at Butler care. Sharon R L

Butlers program is awesome from acedemics to extra curricular.

Butler is a god school overall but is slowly going down the drain. Most students choose to exit the school due to the extra-strict rules which are inforced. Teachers within the school are fairly decent but problems are arroused here and there. It does look good to graduate with a Diploma from Butler Traditional High School but it's harder than most think. The Principle has allowed to much slack over the past years since taking up for Mr. Frick who made Butler what it is today. I would heavily re-consider before truely applying for Butler.

BTHS is a great school and reaches out to so many families and just gives you more than what is required. When a college see's you have a diploma from Butler it means something. It means you graduated from the Top Elite of schools in The United States. Butler teaches the youth of Louisville strict policies and how life will be after you graduate. It totally prepares you for College and guarantee's you a trip to the next level of life. Butler has great athletics as well; a Champion Baseball Program, Fearless Football Program, and Top Ranked Girls Soccer! Butler would/should be the first choice to send your child to school for High School.

I attended here my freshman year and loved it! I loved the atmosphere and the teachers were wonderful. If I was ever having trouble in a situation then there was always someone there to help me! The clubs and extracurricular activities were excellent they had a wide selection of thing to choose from. I loved it, but had to move to Mississippi.

I attended BTHS for 4 years and loved every minute of it, meanwhile recieving a top notch eduation.
