The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) will donate $500,000 to feed Kentucky and Glean Kentucky, the state's largest food bank organization. The donation is part of a $1.5 million grant from the John Quarling Foundation, established in 2010 to help Kentucky residents have better access to food.
